Friends of Saguaro Website Under Construction

Friends of SaguaroI wrote an article about the Friends of Saguaro National Park website earlier this year, and recently noticed that their website is undergoing a redesign at the moment.  I wrote to them and got a response from Bob Newtson, the Executive Director, who said the site should be back online by the end of the year — so hang in there!

As I said in my earlier story, this site is a wonderful resource for homeschool families wanting to learn more about desert ecosystems and have a lot of fun while doing it.  I can’t imagine how they’ll be able to top what was on the old site, but I still can’t wait to check it out.

In the meantime, consider showing them your support and appreciation by donating this holiday season.  Or, consider purchasing some of their unique merchandise as hoilday gifts, including Saguaro keepsake ornaments, cactus earrings, posters, and note cards.  Details on how to acquire these and more are listed in their Fall 2007 Newsletter.
