Goethe’s Trail

I’m off on a business trip to Europe — hope to visit Harz Nationalpark in Germany during my stay.  This is the place where Goethe hiked to the top of the mountain in 1777 and found both inspiration and perspiration.  His experience supposedly reinvigorated his creative streak and heavily influenced his work on Faust.

Just thought you’d want to be the “Faust” to know… I’m hoping I’ll have internet access.  If not, see you next week (if the mountain doesn’t get me first).

  1. Update — I’m here in Germany amidst a train strike so my National Park trip may be a bit difficult to accomplish this weekend… 😦
