Fee Waivers at National Parks

I decided to create a list of links for fee waivers at National Parks here on HSR.  Fee waivers are for educational visits only, and many parks require documentation of some sort.  The list isn’t complete, but I’ll add new parks to the list as I discover them.  If you haven’t read my previous story on this subject, be sure to check it out before you proceed since there’s a lot of good information and tips in there.

  1. I clicked on the Great Basin site and it would not open up for me. Can you e-mail me the waiver information for the Lehman Caves?

  2. Hi Betty, you’ll have to go to the Great Basin home page and track down the current link from there. The Great Basin home page is at If you follow the links “For Teachers” and “Plan a Field Trip” you’ll come to the page at and the link is advertised there for fee waivers. If the link doesn’t work for you, you’ll have to call the park via phone and get them to mail or e-mail the info to you. Good luck… it’s sometimes a bit of work (depending on the park) but it’s worth it.

  3. I hope you’ve already come for a visit to Great Basin NP, Betty. As a homeschooling dad and ranger there, we’d love to share our Park, campgrounds, and cave with you and your family. All the best.
